The matchup brought together two Chicago Catholic League football programs.
The Crusaders produced 35 points and held the Caravan to 24, securing an 11-point victory in a major Chicago Catholic League matchup.
Mount Carmel entered the game after scoring 55 points against St. Patrick one week earlier. Brother Rice presented a different challenge and finished with the win.
For the Crusaders, beating Mount Carmel strengthened their position among the state's leading teams.
The Crusaders improve to 6–2 with a road shutout. Marist is next, while DePaul Prep prepares to host St. Laurence.
