Independent sports journalism. Transparent organizational relationships and event access.
DOPE Sports Network is an independent Chicago-based sports news platform covering professional, collegiate, high school, and youth athletics across Chicago, Illinois, the Midwest, and significant national sporting events.
DSN operates within DOPE VZN, which provides the broader media production and storytelling infrastructure. DSN serves as its dedicated sports journalism platform and maintains an independent editorial identity.
DOPE Sports Network operates within the DOPE VZN media organization, which holds media credentials issued by the Illinois High School Association (IHSA).
These credentials support professional coverage of Illinois high school athletics, subject to applicable IHSA policies, event-specific requirements, and access approvals.
DOPE Sports Network maintains an independent editorial identity and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the IHSA.
A credential held through DOPE VZN does not establish blanket access to every venue or event. Coverage remains subject to applicable governing-body policies, school and venue rules, event-specific requirements, and access approvals.
A coverage request, commercial inquiry, or contributor application does not confer a credential or guarantee attendance, an assignment, access, or publication. Event organizers and rights holders control the permissions applicable to their events.
DSN adopts standards for verification, responsible sourcing, transparent corrections, sponsorship disclosure, youth safeguarding, and media rights. Firsthand reporting must be distinguished from source-based reporting, and file photography must not imply attendance at the game covered.
Send media inquiries, event information, and corrections requests to press@dopevzn.com. For a correction, include the article URL, the disputed information, and a reliable supporting source. Do not include sensitive personal information about athletes or minors.
