An independent lens on the athletes, games, stories, and communities shaping the next generation of sports.
DOPE Sports Network is an independent Chicago-based sports news platform covering professional, collegiate, high school, and youth athletics. Our reporting, photography, and video storytelling follow the athletes, teams, competition, and communities behind the game.
DSN covers Chicago, Illinois, the Midwest, and significant national sporting events. Coverage is organized by competition level, with sports, leagues, teams, and schools available through tags and archives.
DSN operates within the DOPE VZN media organization. DOPE VZN provides the broader media production and storytelling infrastructure, while DSN serves as its dedicated sports journalism platform with an independent editorial identity.
Our coverage remit includes the NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, NWSL, NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, and Illinois high school and youth athletics. Football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, hockey, wrestling, track and field, cross-country, swimming, tennis, golf, lacrosse, gymnastics, and other relevant sports belong in that conversation.
DOPE Sports Network operates within the DOPE VZN media organization, which holds media credentials issued by the Illinois High School Association (IHSA).
These credentials support professional coverage of Illinois high school athletics, subject to applicable IHSA policies, event-specific requirements, and access approvals.
DOPE Sports Network maintains an independent editorial identity and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the IHSA.
DSN adopts written standards for accuracy, attribution, corrections, editorial independence, sponsorship disclosure, responsible AI assistance, media rights, and student-athlete privacy. These standards guide publication decisions from October 14, 2026 onward.
DOPE Sports Network works with emerging and experienced sports journalists, photographers, videographers, and storytellers who share a commitment to covering athletics with accuracy, creativity, and professionalism.
We welcome interest from sportswriters, photographers, videographers, student journalists, game reporters, and feature writers throughout Chicago, Illinois, and surrounding regions. The contributor inquiry is an expression of interest. It does not automatically confirm employment, compensation, accreditation, access, or assignments.
